Vienna

At 11:38 we went into a large ornate Baroque period Library. Honestly, I think that books are enough decoration, but the makers of the library didn’t know that I would visit and that I thought that books were enough, so I won’t blame them. ? (Breath in, breath out) Then we went for DUNH DAH DUUUUNH!!!!! LUNCH. (bet you didn’t expect that!). For lunch, all except for dad had mozzarella and basil and tomato sandwich. Dad had a mozzarella and sun-dried tomato sandwich. After lunch, we went to a beautiful organ (pipe) concert. Then we had apple strudel, a really good Viennese pastry.

After that, we went to an armor and musical instruments museum. Then we went home. Next day we went for a 30km bike ride.

Berlin

On Friday morning we left for Berlin. We woke up at seven’o’clock and had breakfast. Then we piled into the car to drive to Fulda, a town that has a train station that ICE (Inter City Express) come to. We hopped on the ICE that we booked, and off we went. When we got to Berlin we hopped on the S-Bahn, a public travel service. We got off at Anhalter-Bahnof, the hotels station.

First day we did wall stuff. Next was 3 museums. Next day we did the Berlin Zoo, The Berlin Aquarium and Kaiser Wilhelm Church. The Wall I won’t say much about except that it was kinda boring. The first of the museums was The DDR(Pronounced De De Er ), which is a museum devoted to life with the wall.(At the end there was a TDS (Trabant Driving Simulator) which I LOVED.)

The week of driving

Thursday was Thanksgiving, two days before we left. We had salmon, salad with pomegranate seeds along with mashed sweet potatoes and some kind of green beans. Friday was packing. All-day was packing. It wasn’t quite as bad as I thought, I guess. on Saturday we left at ten and drove to Valencia.

We arrived at the hotel at around 8:30 and checked in then had dinner. In the morning we left at roughly 8:30. we arrived at the house near Montpellier with a hot tub. We got in the hot tub. On Monday we went on a bike ride. Then mom and dad went to the store while we relaxed in the hot tub.

On Tuesday we left at 9ish. We stopped at Pont du Garde, a Roman aqueduct, a bridge used purely for bringing water into the city. It was enormous. We arrived in Geneva. On Wednesday the next day, we left to go to CERN with an LHC, a large hadron collider. It collides particles so they break apart to enter secret dimensions. It’s cool.

We left at around 8:30 and arrived at Stuttgart, where the Martinez’s are. On Friday evening we went to a Christmas market where we got a delicious cup of apple cider, called Kinderpunsch in Germany. We also got REALLY good bratwurst, a german type of sausages. I liked the boar sausages best, Ben liked the venison best and I don’t know about anyone else.

Me and Ben got more Rostbratwurst. I could not finish mine, so Ben had to finish mine. The next day we left around 1:30 and arrived at Buchenau (Eiterfeld) around 5:30-6:00.

Spain

O.K to make a long story short, I LOVE SPAIN! But I will tell you about the things we did. OK the first 4 days of the week, we lazed about in the house not doing much because Dad was working. Don’t get me wrong, I totally support his work as that is how we are funding this trip.

Then on Friday we went to Ronda, a town built on a gorge that meets the ground.

A beautiful place on a nice day

It was not quite as good of a day it was more cloudy but beautiful nonetheless. I think the most amazing part of it was the bridge. On the Saturday after Ronda we went to Fuengirola beach (a rocky beach) for a short walk. On Tuesday afternoon we went to a mediterranean beach for a swim. We built a sand castle with 3 walls in front of it and 3 trenches as well as its own walls. One thursday we went to the Alhambra,a great place to visit for architecture…

Portugal

I do not really remember much for the drive from Chevanceaux to Obidos, but I will recount as much as I can. When we woke up (I do not remember when) we had breakfast then we left and drove for 3 hours, stopped, drove, bathroom break, drove and when we got there the host kindly gave us a tour of the house. Then one of the only things we did at home was play chess at the chess set at home. Thats all I can remember.

Update from Portugal

So what was my last update? Oh yes the Paris Trip! But this one is going to be about Portugal! So when we left Chevanceaux I was kinda sad. But I cheered up when I thought about a new country! Yay. Whooo.

But for the first drive I think we had to drive 5 hours? We stayed in a hotel for the night and then the next day there was a buffet breakfast and then we left. We drove for 13 hours!!!! Taking breaks of course! When we finally got there we had a very nice host named ‘Graça’ who gave us a nice tour of the house. The next day we went to Nazaré.

Paris trip

So we started by being woken up at 7:00 AM. Then left at 8:00 ish for a 40 min drive to Angoulême, which is about 2 hours north of Bordeaux. We caught a train at Angoulême. A TGV to be exact. A train of great speed!!! Woooo Hooo!!! Max speed for a TGV is 517 kph!! Average is 300 kph! The train was 2 hours long to get to Montparnasse train station. After we got of the train we put our bags in a BagBNB ;P. We then walked to the Eiffel tower. then we got on a bus tour of paris that was shorter than normal because the road was blocked so they skipped a bit of it. We got off near the end of it to go up the Arc De Triomphe. It was really cool. There were 291 steps and we h– to go up and down them. When we got to the top of the Arc, a protest about climate change started. It really was like the police were doing a Yakety Sax. routine. Please watch. It is really funny. Beside us people were throwing a cloth poster off the edge of the Arc. Anyhoo, after the Arc we went to the Catacombs. WoOoOoO!?Ha! It really was a lot of walking then SHOOM!!!! BONES! 6 MILLION PEOPLES BONES!!!!!!!☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️WOW!!! Then we went to the hotel. Nothing special and literally a Budget hotel. I mean, the name was Ibis Budget. Buut the next day we started off going to the LOUVRE!!! WOOO HOOOO!!! I was pulling along to get to the Mona Lisa. I SAW IT and Mom got a picture with me in it. We saw the Winged Victory of Samathras(No head) Then I fell apart.?As in TALKED. A LOT. Then we looked at the Notre Dam on the way to a natural history museum :P:P:P (My choice) We then traveled to Munda lingwa, a language museum. After that we left Paris?. I will spare you the details. We had pizza and left.

La Rochelle Aquarium

Hi! I hope you are up for a report! On the 2/10/19 we went to La Rochelle Aquarium and it was amazing!! This is a report about what we saw, my favorite bits and also (The best part) Photos!!!

I will start at the start. To start with we walked through a tunnel of jellyfish. Next was a bunch of what I thought were Cuttlefish but Ben says no.

I thought they were mini cuttlefish and I was right.

Apples (might seem bit stupid but read on)

On the 27/9/19 we went to a apple farm and got I think like 25 apples? Anyhoo we all ate one. We all tried each others and they were all really good. (Between you and me I by far liked Tim’s the most.) We also got apple cider that is really good as well. Ohh I almost forgot (Thank you Tim for reminding me) we also got ARTICHOKES at an APPLE store we also saw grapes and plums and WINE and almonds still in shells and grapefruit and crystallized ginger. Over all it was really nice and I wish we were able to stay there longer because the smell was nice.
